The Award-Winning International Nightlife brand Hyde has finally come to Sydney. And it’s snapped up one of the city’s most prime locations at the renowned Hacienda bar, situated in the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour.
Last Thursday marked the venue’s official relaunch, where the new Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge really came to life to showcase its new identity.
From pink-carpets to free-flowing champagne, light displays; and a guest list of high-profile Sydneysiders, including celebrity publicist, Roxy Jacenko and superstar DJ Havana Brown, the stylish new bar was in its element.
Yet while basked in the afternoon sun, the unbeatable views of Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour Bridge still proved to be its biggest drawcard.
Inside, the decor draws on the original venue’s playfully luxe vibe, inspired by vintage Miami hotels. However, a new lounge area has been added to increase the seating capacity beside the venue’s key floor-to-ceiling windows.
Also new to Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is an exciting new cocktail menu by Australia’s most awarded mixologist, Tim Philips-Johansson (from Sweet&Chilli). Highlights include the Coffee and Malt Old Fashioned, Chia Daiquiri, Campfire Espresso Martini and Top of the Town Punch.
During the launch party, guests also got a glimpse of the new menu, combining fresh local produce with South American influences. These included Fresh Shucked Oysters, Tuna & Avocado Tacos, Tempura Pumpkin Flowers, Shrimp Rolls, Crispy Spiced Calamari and Hot Fried Chicken Sliders.
Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is now Australia’s third Hyde venue to come out of sbe Entertainment’s partnership with Accor. The brand originated in the U.S. and became known to deliver venues that escape from conventional hospitality. Now it’s taken to Australia with Hyde Paradiso on the Gold Coast and Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails in Perth.
The venue expansion comes in response to Australia’s demand for more hybrid dinner, drinks and dancing venues. With this in mind, Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is said to have a focus on superior table service, private booth hire, weekend DJs, bar theatrics and a premium beverage offering.
“Hyde will bring a new level of energy, excitement and sophistication to Sydney’s sought-after CBD nightlife, creating a new era of hospitality for domestic and international guests,” says Accor’s Chief Operating Officer Pacific, Simon McGrath.
